Just noticed this Drive icon ( Data ) in my Applications folder, it is ghosted out and I cannot look at it.

Can you find any other clues via Get Info or Disk Utility?

No such thing is in my Applications folder. I suspect it's something used by one of your third-party apps.

The faded look makes me think it's a hidden file... try pressing Command-Option-Period. If it is hidden, that'll hide it again.

No idea what it's from or why it's there though.

Kinda generic as filenames go, so this finding isn't super conclusive: On my system, "Data" is a Unix executable, guessing the dim icon means it's hidden or maybe a symlink. Get info doesn't reveal an author.

Running it in a sandbox produces an XML list of Adobe Creative Cloud app components and timestamps. Prolly a component of Adobe's licensing mechanism.

On further investigation I manages to view what was on it, it had 12gb of files applications and folder full of files and programs from my main drive, I deleted it and so far since have had no issues or problems, so fingers crossed and thabks for the information and ideas.
