How come everything is installed on new macs except iPhoto??

And preveiw is ok but it should work better with iPhoto.

Anyone know if iPhoto and preveiw will work better together on Jag-off, i mean Jag-wire (Jaguar)?

Is iPhoto due for an update?

My Quicksilver came with iPhoto installed... exactly which Macs don't have iPhoto installed when you buy them?

Welcome to this post?

Sorry I dont know what quicksilver is besides the board company?

Anyways my flat panel imac came with everything installed except for iPhoto, it came with the cd and installed in like five seconds.

I am not mad, just wondering why it is the only one not installed?

And why don't they say anything? I thought everythibg was installed, I got scared at first then I saw the cd!

It's all about manufacturing

Apple generally only changes the material shipped with equipment unless they'res an OS upgrade or somehting of the like. iPhoto was released the same day as the iMac. Adding iPhoto to the basic system install does take alot of work-so in order to keep products shipping...they include the CD in the box. Even now, most people that get iPhoto preloaded on their machine stilll have to upgrade to iPhoto 1.1.1.

Their is a lag in shipping all hardware from Apple now as they hold product at their warehouse-not to preload Jaguar, but to throw the update CD's in the box; at least for the current models like the iBooks, PowerBooks, eMacs, and iMacs.

It'll be probably mid to late Spetember before they change over the machines's restore CD packs to inlcude Jaguar.

When the LCD iMacs were first launched they didn't include iPhoto installed I think because it would have delayed further the iMacs deployment, so therefore it didn't come installed, the new QuickSilvers and recently bought G4 iMac came with iPhoto installed.

'Quicksilver' is the name of the current line of Powermacs. Drop the 'c' and that's the company that makes half of my clothes :)

I used to have alot of QuikSilver clothes but I gave up on them about a year back, I try not to wear clothes just because they are in fashion

I usually wear clothes so that I am not arrested for indecent exposure. ;-)

iPhoto doesn't come with ur Mac, which is just too bad. They should be updating this problem soon. Just download it from apple's website. You can get it there for free.

Yes.

And what Sunbeam has a hair dryer with the Quicksilver name-and trademarked it and also 'Classic' describing some sort of consumer home electrical product.

Other news-I have a spare PC, so my dad took a RAM stick and put it in this one-now I have 128 MB.

Who makes the other half of your clothes? I hope you got those Quiksilver clothes at half price.
