What is your reaction when you see a idevice still on iOS4

Saw a girl using an iPhone 4 today, still on iOS4. I'm like are you serious? I admit I got irritated inside. She was on ATT too so it's not like she is on t-mobile and can't update. I knew cause her text message box was blue.

Why are you so bothered? Maybe you should've informed her about an update, and possibly suggest a privacy screen protector too. For the prying eyes.

I see my iPhone every day on iOS 4; was too lazy to update it until now. As its a company phone and iCloud is not allowed and all those certificates ... Just keep it and don't touch it.

My iPod and iPads are updated to 5.1

There are plenty of iPhone users that are not "techy" types and could care less about upgrading to the latest and greatest OS. It's just not that important to some people and not a priority. So be it .. who cares. There are things and issues in our lives that are far more important than our iPhones

I agree with the poster above. For some persons, updating a smartphone is one or more of the following ...

1 - an incomprehensible process
2 - takes too much time in a busy day
3 - requires new ways to do familiar things
4 - resurrects frustration that finally got under control after the initial purchase

I also am seeing a lot of people who consider their smartphone purchase almost a once-in-a-lifetime investment. Several folks I know are thrilled with their brand new purchase of an iPhone3 - clueless to the differences and totally happy that they at last got rid of their flip phone and own a real iPhone.
