If you could be your favourite camera, which make would it be?

I'm a Nikon D200 with a 18-200mm VR lens. :p

Mmm. Canon 1DMkIIN...how many lenses can we be? I could live with a 16-35 f/2.8, 50 f/1.0, 70-200 f/2.8, and 400 f/2.8

Sinar

Sinar is not on the list. If I had unlinited funds I'd be using both a Sinar M and Sinar P2 sytem. And their "Broncolor" lighting system is unsurpased

The M is interesting in that it allows use of Nikon lenses and has a ful frame CCD sensopr. The CCD sensor on the "M" can be swapped out like a film back on a medium format camera. IT's a great ssystem but the five figure price keeps me from buying it.

But beeing a poor sioftware engineeer I'll have to settle for Nikon and an older used Sinar "P" system and my 25+ year old Norman powerpack based lights

I voted Pentax also, they seem the most like me, and IMO the most like Apple (was once the big ticket player in the market, thanks to innovations that now everyone takes for granted, but made some bad choices and is now a niche market company with very good legacy support and strong cult following)

I would probably be the last medium format camera I owned - the Hasselblad 503CX. I loved that camera and the purity of the Zeiss lenses even more. If I were a 35 mm I'd have to be the, I'm feelin' cheap today - Pentax K1000.

What, no Mamiya? 22 megapixels aren't enough for you? Sheesh

I bow to your choice :) There is nothing that matches those zeiss lenses on a medium format but only the oldfarts like me remember

35mm wise I'd stay with the F2 and F3. Both fantastic bodies that I still enjoy using to this day....I love that Nikon shutter sound

Gotta be an Olympus... :)

After I'd worn out my OM-1

om-1_small.jpg

I got myself a Centurion

centurion.jpg

which was and is a nice camera, but the APS format was more or less outdated when I got it, so now I have a µ digital 600 (aka stylus 600)

mju_DIGITAL_600_blue.jpg

while I'm saving up for an E-500

1304-olympus-e-500-evolt.jpg

so I'm definitively an Olympus person... ;)

Agfa make cameras these days? I'd be surprised if they even make film or paper any more.

No Bronica or Mamiya on the list?

If I was a camera, I would be a Mamiya 645, but of course, if I use a camera, I'd rather use an Olympus. Any Olympus is a whole lot lighter and easier to carry.

Ahhh! You beat me to it!

put down another Holga vote...

A third for holga! Ahh, toy cameras. They give the most etheral, blurry, light-leaking pictures, and you may only get one good frame for every two rolls, but when you get it, it is so worth it. (Copious amounts of black electrical tape help with the light leaks, by the way)

But I voted cannon because no matter what new camera I buy I always end up neglecting it for my AE-1.

I'm still on my fuji s7000 - i know its not real slr, and its really noisy (pixels, not sound), but its a step up from my two polaroid (!!) digital cameras.

I'm just dreaming of getting a canon d400

I'm a Nikon D200 with a 18-200mm VR lens. :p

I have exactly the same combination.
On my wish list is a wide-angle zoom. Preferably the sigma 10-20 mm.
My flash : the SB-800

I also have a Hasselblad with 4 lenses wich I have used to little. It is a wonderfull machine but a much too heavy bag to do long trips with.
