Some place that do fabrics (like for upholstery, drapes, placemats etc.).

the people above me covered what it would have been. But im just chiming in saying i think its a really artsy logo. digg it

Having worked in the beauty industry, I'd disagree. I can't say I've ever seen a beauty product logo that included paint-like splotches. I think that would imply something un-flattering about faces/makeup.

But! That's all unimportant, because an interior design firm is just what this screamed out... creative, spontaneous, flexible, hand-wrought, individual focus, down-to-earth, flexible, progressive, contemporary, young but mature, fresh but not overworked or overly trendy.

It doesn't look like interiors, at least not to me. It would, obviously, have something dependently to do with colour and design, but not necessarily interiors.

m2c.

I think I'll play around with a few colours to see what effect that gives.

I think the problem with this logo was that I tried to make something that I thought looked good rather than trying to ensure it showed a particular image

Don't assume a logo has to look like it's intended market. Theres plenty of logo's that don't 'relate' to their market.

It's got to be the last one :D

For some reason I like the green one best and for some even stranger reason it doesn't say plants first to me

I like it. But the space between the "L" and the "a" is a tad uncomfortable. I'm having a little bit of trouble grouping them.

Yes - and/or possibly, the "a" needs to be larger. The only other character that clashes slightly IMHO is the "m", which looks a little too narrow and tall to me. I realise that simulated handwriting has to have a degree of randomness, but I just think those two characters are a little out of joint with the rest.

Overall, I like the logo. It looks much more professional than most "handwritten" logos of this type. FWIW I prefer the original grey version rather than the colours.

Just wondering if it may be worth trying "interiors" with a lower case "i"?

Tried changing the letter sizing/spacing as suggested:

I definitely agree that it was a good idea to change the shaping of the 'm'

I don't like the lower case "I" though. Maybe you should go with an all caps type face?
