I just came across this vintage Apple ad in one of my dads old mags that he left me, thought it was worth sharing! 1979 this one, may be more in the archive!

I don't know what 2500 1979 dollars are in current value ($7,500? $10,000?) - but suddenly my $1900 MBP seems cheap.

Not for very long - but for a moment there it seemed cheap ;)

7,500 dollars for a computer seems a little steep to me considering in a year or two it will be obsolete.

Actually those Apple IIs had a pretty long life of support for add-ons and software (The ][+ had been unchanged for four years until the //e came onto the scene, and even then had support for probably another two or so). Don't get me started on the Mac Plus/Mac Classic span of 8MHz goodness. ;)
