I know this sounds like an idiotic question, but I am new to apple programming.

What are most apps written in for apple? e.g. Handbrake, Carbon copy cloner, Burn, filemerge, etc.

What makes them look like apple apps? How do you give an app that look?

Are there good tutorials out there for learning how to do these things.

I've just discovered automator, so i want to play with that a little, but not exaclty the kind of app I'm looking to create...but it's a start.

anyway, thanks,

Brian

Most use the Cocoa application frameworks.

Generally they are written in Objective-C.
