What manager, Quicken, etc. to use

My old Quicken, 2003, was on am PC and I am not sure if you can use it on the Imac or not. First is can you, should you or what else is good?

I migrated from that to Quicken for Mac in 2005. It went through pretty smoothly. If you can find a copy of quicken 2007 for Mac it should be easy enough to move the data file (.qdf) and convert it. I don't remember exactly how I did it though. Personally I don't think Quicken is really paying attention to the Mac market and people are reporting quicken essentials mac to be not that great.

Other people recommend switching to some other package, but I've stuck with Quicken Mac 2007 mostly because my needs are simple; just checkbook and keeping track of my savings and mortgage. I don't use any of the download stuff or stock tracking info. Still it works well enough for me.

If you are doing just basic household financial stuff, Quicken 07 works great. You will need to export your old records out of quicken 2003 in the QIF data format. Then you can import the QIF files into Quicken 07. I have been using Quicken 07 for years, and it works great on Snow Leopard.
