Hi,

I do not know how watching movies on the iPad is going to be like, so I'm now downloading a few movies which I will put on my iPad when I have one (2012, Planet 51, Avatar and some other movies). What movies are you going to put on your iPad?

And what about music? Are you going to put music on your iPad? Imagine it... it's in the middle of the summer and you are sitting in the garden. Next to you is your iPad on the special iPad dock. You listen to the music... and sometimes you will go browsing the web.

Are you going to download any new music, or are you going to use the music you already have in your iTunes library.

Note: I don't know if it's legal to download music (for free) in the USA or in other countries, so if not don't talk about it. In the Netherlands (where I live) it's not illegal to download music (for free).

So? What are your plans?

Limited music actually. I think I will stick with my iPod touch as my main music player. Much more practical and it will still never leave my pocket.

I will always have 5-10 of the latest movie releases I haven't seen yet. Current video podcasts of some news shows I like. Archival videos of the shows I direct along with my promotional video reels (also thousands of production stills from various shows). And probably at least 10 movies of my daughters choosing to hand her when we're stuck in a line or have a long car trip. This is why I will be getting the 64GB.

I'll also have a double set of apps for me and for her for the same reason. My life is about to get a whole lot more convenient!

I'll probably keep some movies on there, but not much music. Maybe just some of my favorite stuff. Then I will wait for the Orb iPad app. Or some other app to stream media from my Mac Mini. I don't see myself using the iPad to listen to music a lot though, maybe just when I am using it for an extended period.

Probably mostly video and Movies, I have about 260 movies and 170 TV Series akready ripped for my Apple TV so I have plenty of Content.

very little music, just last.fm and pandora. Probably about 8gb for movies and shows, same as what I have on my droid right now.

Come to think of it, do I really need the 32gb version? hmmm.

YES I DO

I'll probably put my favorite music on there. So maybe 8 gb's? As for videos, I'll have a little of The Office, Family Guy, and then the movies Star Trek and Avatar. I'll be doing a lot of movie renting on this thing so that will be fun!

As far as movies go... we should get Star Trek free as much as Apple uses it for promos. :D

I won't add my music library but likely just my movies, TV shows and home videos to it. Then apps and books. The iPad will likely free up some iPhone space for more music and remove some movies, should be a nice balance between the two devices. I've carried movies on my iPhone but rarely watch them as it's to small imo for a 2h movie. Look forward to a portable device with a nice screen for movies.

I'll have all my photos, my best movies - about ~12, all my music, and then I'll start saving to afford buying all the iPad versions of my apps again. :)
At least we'll get an iTunes update when the iPad comes out, thats exciting! I'm going to buy some books maybe too, when the bookstore comes to Aus.

You could not place a single mp3 or video on the iPad and still enjoy all your mp3s and videos as long as you have an internet connection.

For videos, Air Video: http://www.inmethod.com/air-video/index.html
For music, Simplify Media: http://www.simplifymedia.com/iphonemusic.html

Just another reason why I'm going to get a 16GB.

that would mean I would have to have 3g because it would suck if I'm sitting somewhere without wi-fi (like my mother-in-laws house) and I want to watch a movie and can't. 250mb won't be enough so I would have to get the unlimited.

That doesn't happen too often though.

+1. I wish there's a program that can stream all media, be it movies or music.

you could jb your iphone and turn it into a wifi hotspot with programs like MiWi. That's what I'm planning to do :)
