...is that with its superior camera, 2600 mah battery, and bigger storage size, it will be a perfect unofficial nexus once aokp/cm gets on board.

Sure the one is a great device from htc, but running aokp on a galaxy is far easier even for a noob and Samsung forums seem to be overflowing with abundance of both aosp and tw ROMs.

The only downside might be amoled. If it is bright enough, it will be ok but I have my doubts.

Sold my nexus 4 tonight even though I LOVED it. I just hate being stuck with half good hardware (great internals, big deal) and superior software when the same software can run on superior hardware.

THAT is the only reason I might buy a s4, aokp/cm on that would make it a better nexus!

I'd go for the HTC One Developer Edition personally. I like the design and a handset purely designed for developers and tinkerers is more up my street.

Samsung hardware does have amazing support from the dev community no doubt though.

Or at the very least, Nova launcher.

I wish I could say the same for the HTC One, but that far away wake/seep button and the new location of the home button really bothers me, and no amount of hacking can "fix" those two quirks.
