What on earth happened to my mac? (Crashing and never turning on!)

Hi guys, this is what happened to my iMac (2009 Version) when I tried turning it on. After this phase happens, it just switches to a white screen then crashes to a black screen and the whole cycle repeats. Anyone knows what is happening?

Very likely GPU failure but possible RAM failure also.

Yep looks like GPU or RAM failure as stated above.

To check your RAM, shut down, remove one stick of RAM, restart. Repeat for the other stick.

Trial and Error will work but I'd recommend a program like MemTest86 and test each stick separately to be definitive. Could rule out good sticks that are failing. Also, try sticks in different slots as the slot on the motherboard/logicboard could be damaged.
