Over at c|net Chris Matyszczyk decides to write a piece all based off of one comment from John Gruber: "The problem isn't that Apple is bleeding talent, the problem is that they could".

Wow, stop the presses! People might leave Apple to go do other things. And lets write a story about it because it neatly feeds into the FUD and D&G meme surrounding Apple these days. Never mind that we're not talking about people actually leaving, just that some could do so in the future. And even though we know this doesn't just apply to Apple lets make sure Apple is in the headline so we get more clicks and ad revenue.

I'm longing for the day when tech sites are not about click bait and creating flame wars (to increase clicks). I think the Verge and ArsTechnica are trying to get there but it seems we have a long way to go. And even on those sites the comments sections are full of trolling rather than good debate and interesting discussions. Sigh. :(

Tech writers seem no different than other media types. No news? Let's see if we can make some. Also the days of reporting facts and separating that from opinion are also long gone.

That's because it all comes down to bringing people in to view your ads. Even if you completely disagree with an article, you're still playing right into their hands just by visiting the page.

And here's one from ZDNET. Won't post the url, but you get the gist. Andy Ihnatko and Guy Kawasaki are famous? LOL My guess is most people have no clue who they are. And Kawasaki showed up at Apple right before Steve left and was gone before he came back. Why his opinion matters is beyond me.

Are Apple's famous defectors going to have an impact on the popularity of iPhones?

Summary: What if someone famous switched from iPhone to Android? What about two famous people? Andy Ihnatko and Guy Kawasaki both have taken up residence with Android phones. What's the world coming to?

Don't read those sites, you know the level of reporting is bad.

Very view sites be them electronic (internet, TV or radio) or hard copy (newspaper and magazines) has anyone left capable of writing a coherent article.

There is little real journalism anymore, no real investigative writing and no fact checking. All they do is regurgitate what some PR agent or spokesperson tells them.
