Hi all,

For the last few years, I have been a PC user for Photo editing & I have recently jumped ship for my workflow, by purchasing a MBP 2015 & a 12.9” IPad Pro (2018) with Apple Pencil. My previous workflow consisted of Lightroom, Portrait Professional & Photoshop. With Lightroom being the base application and then doing extra edits in the other packages, before returning to Lightroom & adding watermark before exporting the final images.

I was wondering what apps there are on the iPad for things like skin retouching which are similar to PortraitPro or would the likes of Astropad Studio be useful for what I need ?. The generous people at Anthropics have allowed me to use my existing license for Portrait Professional on both PC & Mac.

Ideally if I need to do editing whilst on a long train journey, it would be far more ideal to just be using my IPad Pro for my workflow, especially with the upcoming release of Photoshop CC, but as far as I know, there is no current release date for it, so will need something to use in the meantime.

Can anyone here, recommend anything that will do the job ?

Many thanks

Have a look at Pixelmator, quite an optimised and user friendly app.

I bought Pixelmator yesterday, it is pretty good for such a low price. My only gripe is that it looks as tho I can only open pictures from iCloud or the camera roll & not from the Adobe Creative Cloud.

I have decided against buying Affinity as yet, this is due to the amount of bugs in it, which only come to light on the 2018 iPad Pro 12.9, which include blocks of pixels missing when using frequency separation, which I understand is essential for when skin smoothing, there are other issues as well. Which can be seen at the link below.
