The only 3rd party plugin I've found worth the money - Nik Sharpener Pro. Its a brilliant piece of code. It is so far beyond what Photoshop offers (Smart sharpen/USM). Try the trial, you won't regret it.

Isn't that also available for Aperture now?

There is no Photoshop plugin that I've found indispensable. To be honest, I'm finding that for many things Photoshop itself is dispensable nowadays.

I don't use plug-ins. You can achieve anything you want with just Photoshop, if you know what you're doing.
