I was thinking of doing a to do list manager, but I already found one I like.

I'd like to develop something in my spare time. So what should I make? I'm looking for something no one has made yet.

I'd like to see a time budgeting app. Everything available does to-do lists, but some tasks take longer than others and so how effectively you can plan is limited. It would be nice to have an app that allows you to create daily/weekly/monthly tasks based on blocks of time so that you are always using your time wisely. I think this would be quite handy as many days I find myself getting sidetracked by surfing the net or other things and don't get to more important things.

For example, I have class 12 hours per week. Homework usually about 15 hours per week. Work 40 hours per week and 56 hours of sleep. Then that leaves some time left over for other taks like chores, leisure, etc. You would be able to create a weekly budget of each of these tasks. Some tasks can be marked as always "spent" like work or class time since they are not discretionary time. Add a timekeeper feature (like a digital clock-in) where when you start working on a task and some time later you can stop working on that task and it will record the time spent on that task to fill up your budget. This can run in the background as well since you can simply store the time information when the user starts and ends the task and simply subtract them.

You should be able to get a graphical report of your budgets to see how much time you have devoted to each task so far. It would be cool if in landscape mode you could plan out a day by the available hours in the day. For example, it would show a type of 0 to 100% progess bar representing all the available hours of the day (not counting work, sleep, appointments, etc). Then you could drag blocks of time from different tasks you want to do into the progress bar until all your time is budgeted for the day.

Develop something YOU need. That way it is useful and will most likely appeal to a lot of other people as well.

an Open Office/Microsoft Office editor and reader with file storage locally? That'll really be great.

Maybe a Craigslist app. Search categories, maybe for more than one city at a a time.

The ability to post directly from the phone, including sele ting or taking a photo would be nice.

Of course, if it's not free like the rest of Craigslist, people will whine and moan about it.
