I've been on the Crucial website to search for the 21.5" i5 iMac, but its not listed amongst the other new iMacs. I'm just wondering if anyone could tell me what type of RAM I should purchase, or if its the same as the i3 model?

Thanks! ;)

It uses the same RAM as i3 model

I wanted to ask about this just out of interest. I ordered 2x2 gigs of RAM from the Crucial (EU) site for my future 21.5" iMac i5. I ordered this:

Apple iMac 3.2GHz Intel Core i3 (21.5-inch - DDR3) Mid 2010Part #: CT1421808

However, I took a look if the 27" iMac have the same part and actually it didn't:

Apple iMac 3.6GHz Intel Core i5 (27-inch - DDR3) Mid 2010 Part #: CT1412108

As you see, with the 21.5" model the final numbers are 808 and with the 27" model they are 08. What does this mean? I was under the impression that all 2010 iMacs use the same memory (no matter what the screen size or cpu is). For example, had I ordered 08-memory for the 27" iMac, could I use with my future 21.5" iMac?

The specs are still the same so it should work just fine. I don't know why the part numbers differ but there shouldn't be any difference in the actual modules
