Hi,

I bought an 16" M2 Max 64GB and havve been having second thoughts about it.

I don't really like the size and am cocerned about the fans.

I want the fans to run as little as possible, due to a adusty environment, yet when playing a basic game (Balatro) and watching Twitch I get temps around 60c and my fans spin to around 1400rpm.

I'm thinking of returning my Macbook for a 14" M3 Pro 36GB, saving money in the process and getting a cooler running, smaller laptop.

Would a 14" M3 Pro 36GB be more power effecient and the fans won't turn on?

I'd think if you're heating up a M2 Max enough to require fans, a M3 Pro would be the same if not worse about it.

i’m just using IDEs and youtube with an external monitor and it’s reaching 60c.

i thought the M3 Pro has more efficiency cores so would run cooler?

man idk what to do :/
