Hello everyone :)

I know some years have passed since 2013 - 2019 , wanted to know what screens some of you are running out there with the MacPro 6.1. QHD / 4K or older 5K ? If you are running non apple screens are you using software for dimming and sound ? For a long long time I had been running a Thunderbolt 27" - have been lucky soon to be connecting a (older of-course/used) 27UP15K.

Hope you are doing well - happy computing with this beautiful MacPro .

EIZO FlexScan EV2785 4K 60 Hz, connected over a cable matters mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable. No special software for dimm or sound. I am using the Mac Pro speaker.

A small question that may come up..... if running a single high bandwidth monitor (5K) with a dualDP linkage ... although they are still run by the same graphics card (ex D500) is it better to run them from the same thunderbolt bus or separate ones for best result ?

I'm not sure, but I think, one bus supports one 4K display. So you need two buses.

Dell UP2715K. True 5K Retina :D

I have it plugged into TB ports 5 and 6.

I actually had issues with non-Retina monitors on this MP, where they would often flicker and show some corruption. I think that was because they would not push the GPU (D700) hard enough at idle, causing the VRAM to be automatically down-clocked to the lowest speed, which for some reason resulted in a glitch.

Feel extremely fortunate to have been able to afford and attain a used UP2715K as well!
Thank you so much for your answer !!! So very appreciated..... When the cables arrive tomorrow I will follow in the same path (I'll put them on the same bus) . I didn't know if it was better to "channel" graphics info through the same bus ( more efficient) vs. possible (?) too much info going through one bus .... Very exciting.

Did as you recommended with some good quality cables and all is amazing , yay! Thanks again :)
Now I just need glasses to appreciate this level of sharpness lol !!! Funny how it is linked through
the thunderbolt port and yet under system information there is no sign of it under the thunderbolt tab.
It's all academic at this time .... lot of fun . With best wishes.
