Well as many of you already know I have lot of old mac stuff around just sitting here not being used
I am currently trying to sell it all to get a G5 but I'm just not getting the response for it.
So what should I do with all this stuff in the mean time, I have no camera so no ebay unless i can find a friend with one.
i have
2x powermac g4
and a imac 333 just sitting around all work, any good idea of what i could do with them?

let me know

cheers

Put them on your local craigslist.org page. You don't need pics there. If you price them well they should sell.

You could also just keep them and turn them into media servers, iTunes servers or run Folding@Home.

The iMac is great for little kids/toddlers. Do you know anyone with a kid in preschool - 2nd grade? Sell it to them for $99. Just make sure it still has OS 9 or Classic for all the great edu games.

The bulk of my home network is comprised of older Macs (with a few PCs because they were obtained on the cheap), and I find that they can each take on pretty hefty tasks. My Cube acts as a BitTorrent/File Server, while my Beige G3 was a webserver (It's now being converted into an Asterisk server). It's just a matter of putting a wee bit of ram into them, and setting them up for a dedicated purpose. Don't forget to set up VNC on them as well for direct control.

Throw the iMac in the dumpster like I did last week. There's one problem solved. ;)

Man, should have taken it to Subtractions in Laurel.

Thats bad to throw in dumpsters. :(

Or you could have sold it for like 20 or so locally.

You can ebay your stuff without a picture. I do it all the time and the stuff sells. Just give a good description and be honest.

Find a friend with a camera and eBay 'em. That'd be the best way to do it. You'd probably get more for the stuff if you had pics of it.

EDIT: iGary, I just can't picture you throwing away a Mac.

Shame on you, you heathen. Thou shalt never throw away a Mac in the trash. Now go repair permissions and say 10 Think Different poems.

I gave away 2 iMacs to a local charity a few weeks ago. Were sitting in my basement for ages. They were very pleased to get them. Spent a couple of hours there setting them up for the kids to use.
