Ok, I have a $50 gift card for Apple and about $100-150 cash. I also think I'm going to get about another $100-150 in an hour or two from my lovely grandmother :p. I love the holidays! So I'll have about $300+ to spend at the Apple Store this week. What should I get? Take a look at my sig for what I have now...

Here's what I'm thinking (ideas)

1) 2GB iPod Nano
-Those things are sooo tiny and my 5G is great, but sometimes going through 2000ish songs and hundreds of videos can take awhile. And though slim, sometimes it's bulky for workouts. I'd love the Nano for short trips, swimming (with an Otterbox of course), etc.
I'm debating between black or white. Black would match me video iPod (heck yeah) but white would contrast it...and look cool too. Opinions?

2) Universal Dock
-These work with Nanos, right? My old dock doesn't work with the 5G and I miss it terribly.

3) Wacom Graphire
-I do a lot of graphic work in PS and Illustrator and I think it would be mad useful to have one. I ordered one about 3 months ago, but they were out of stock and I never bothered to reorder it.

Anyone have any other ideas? THANKS!!! Merry Christmas

:) :p

I think the Universal dock would be a cool purchase if you also got a Nano because both the nano and the 5G iPod come w/ adapters to use in the universal dock so that you could use it with both...

If you do a lot of graphics work, then I say the Wacom.

Or save up a bit more and get some Apple stock. ;)

Get the tablet. You'll find yourself wondering how you ever managed to get by using a mouse.

id say go tablet i just got one today and am lovin it!!

What size did you get? I'm thinking of getting the smallest size but I'm afraid it might be TOO small. I've never used a tablet -- and there's nowhere for me to try one out -- so I'm afraid I'll use it once and then it will sit on my desk. However, there have been several times when I've said to myself "I wish I had a tablet right now...this is a pain." Of course, I've said the same thing about the Nano. I drive a golf cart to school every day (I live in a "special" town haha) and keep the 5G iPod in my pocket, or on my belt loop and every day I'm battling it. I always sit on the headphones or the iPod keeps falling out...a Nano would be nice.

And now I'm worried I'm going to go to the Apple Store tomorrow and ask for "An iPod Nano, please" and they will just laugh, because they've been out of stock for months. But of course I still haven't made a decision.

When I was there on Thursday or Friday (can't remember) they had plenty of nanos except for the black 4 GB model. It makes sense for them to keep plenty of stock even after Christmas because there are a lot of people that got gift cards. Since you've already got a 5G iPod, I say go for a 2 GB nano and the universal dock and Apple Remote.

Then again, my brother has a Wacom Intuos3 6x8 (I think that's the size), and he absolutely loves it. He draws and does a lot of graphics. I never really use his tablet, but I did hook it up to my Mac (he uses a PC) once to play around, and I must say that it was really cool. Inkwell is especially cool.

BTW, I've sort of got the same dilemma. I got a $150 gift card to the Apple Store. I'm planning to buy a Mac mini if they get updated in January, so I guess I could apply it to that, but I really want to go out tomorrow and buy something with it. I have plenty of cash to add to it, so I'm trying to decide whether to put it towards a nano or a 5G iPod (probably 30 GB). I've already got a 40 GB 4G and a 512 MB Shuffle. Then again I could wait and put it towards the Mac mini I'm getting. Decisions, decisions...

They were out of Graphires, so I was tragically forced to buy a 2GB Black Nano :p. Glad I did!! I also picked up a Universal Dock and an Incase Portofolio for the Nano (to avoid scratches). Though it hides its beauty...I might buy a nice clear hard case.
THANKS FOR THE HELP GUYS!!
