I was watching MLB.TV fine ever since it came out last week, and today when I try to log on I get a menu with only 3 categories instead of the typical 5. On top of that, MLB.TV is completely missing? I checked the software and it is up to date, nobody else has access to my Apple TV and it's not jailbroken either nor ever been tampered with. What's going on? See attached picture. Thanks.

interesting... now i'll have to check mine when i get home!

Have you double-checked your settings to make sure you're logged in to your itunes/apple account?

Yes, I re-logged in and everything.. even checked internet settings. Why would not logging in remove MLB.TV from the menu and reduce it down to 3 categories anyways?

Mine did something similar the other day, except for I had NO choices. After turning it on/off for about 15 minutes they all mysteriously appeared again. I checked all my settings prior to this and everything was in order, it made no sense.

Restart the AppleTV. It errored out and restarting it should fix it. On your Apple Remote press and hold the menu and down buttons for six seconds and it will restart the device.

If you haven't tried this, try it. If you have restarted it, do it again.

Ths happened to me a few weeks ago. After consulting these forums, the best course of action to take is to unplug the device for a few seconds. On restar everything should be there. still nit sure why it happens though

I recently saw something similar, it is caused when the Apple TV can't connect to the internet. However, in my case the Apple TV was still connected to my local network and my Mac which was connected to the same network COULD access the internet. It seems to be some kind of problem between the Apple TV and the router and can be corrected by rebooting both the Apple TV and the router (start with a reboot of the Apple TV and then if that doesn't fix the problem unplug the Apple TV, reboot the router, wait until the router is reconnected to the internet, and then restart the Apple TV).

Thanks for all your responses guys. I didn't know about that cool function where you can hold the "menu" and "down" button to restart the AppleTV. That made it work and everything is back to normal. I'm back to watching MLB.TV! :)

I know you solved this, but mine does it when the power goes out. If it boots before my dsl connects (and does) it won't have all the menus and I'll have to restart it. It has to have Internet on start up or nothing.

Didnt know about the button combo either.
