:mad:so i sync my iphone onto my laptop and what do i see "other". what the heck is "other"?
is there a way to get this off?
and yes i did restore as a new iphone, still showing "other"

How much 'other' is there? If its 500MB or slightly higher (but usually a bit lower, around 300MB or so) then that's normal. It's things like contacts, notes, emails, texts, history, your Safari cache, application info (not the apps themselves, but things like game saves, caches, cookies, etc). If everything (even your music, videos, etc) is turning into 'other' data, then it's usually a corrupt flash drive. But like I said, if all your other data is split into Music, Videos, Apps, Photos, etc on that bar at the bottom of the screen, with a little bit of Other afterwards, that's totally normal.

Well you're phone isn't magic. There's a lot more than music, movies, apps and photos that make your phone work. That's all back end stuff and emails and contacts.
