What the hell is this character?!?!

Ok, you know when you're in OS X, you click on the blue apple logo on the top left of the screen, a menu opens. Look down to the "Force Quit" option. What the heck is that little symbol beside the command symbol? How do you press the hotkey to force quit?! I've seen this strange symbol in other programs, including pages, as a hotkey, but I can't find it anywhere on the keyboard. What the heck. Someone please help. I thought I had everything figured out !!!

I think it's an Option (the key also marked Alt on some keyboards, in between Control and Apple/Command). I'm not sure, because when I open this window, it says "You can open this window by pressing Command+Option+Escape" next to the Force Quit button (no symbols).

The one to the right of comand is esc, the one to the left is option.

Ahhh, I see what you're talking about now. That always confused me because it looks so much like the power button....

Figured it out

Wow, first off thanks for the speedy replies. That took about 4 minutes. And yeah, it is the alt/option key. Thanks for all your help guys.
