What time do they normally announce the refresh (if there is one)

Just wondering; "IF" there is going to be an iMac refresh, what time is it usually announced? I'm in the UK so we are about 8 Hours ahead of US Western Time. Just would like to know so I can check back here at the right time to see if an anouncemnet has been made or not.

Nobody knows, however if it did happen today then check back here towards the end of the afternoon/ early evening.

If there's an update the Apple Stores will start going down around 12:30-13:00 UK time. They can then stay down anywhere between 30 minutes and two hours, but Apple's Press Releases about the updates normally get posted by the Associated Press before the stores come back up. Check the AAPL pages on finance.yahoo.com to see those.

Where did this rumor about an update today come from? Seems that it's based on Amazon.co.uk not having stock?

Cancom, and DSG (PC World, Currys etc) both huge Apple resellers, seem to have them in stock?

Lots of things pointed to an update today - several sites were reporting low stock or no stock leading up to last night. In addition, when looking at the Mac line - Apple has updated a Mac computer on the Tuesday that falls closest to the middle of the month for the past three months...so had they kept that methodology - today would have been the day to update one of the three remaining stale lines. When looking for signs for what Mac line was due for an update - it was the iMac that had the most low stock indicators so it seemed going into yesterday that the "stars were aligned" for an iMac update today.

Unfortunately it is looking like that is not the case. There appear to be no updates in the works for today.

Most people just say the date that "feels" right for them, or give a single " "argument" " like "11 months, 8 months, 11 months, 7 months, so now 11 months".

I've put my speculation and the reasoning behind it up for debate; no one's taken me up on that debate.
