Based on past Mac OS releases, what time of day should we expect the release?

It's 7.30pm in the UK right now and I want to test this baby out before I go to bed. :|

I bet they're waiting for the europeans to go to bed before releasing, so they won't have both USA and Europe downloading at the same time

I just logged into the US App Store with my US account and it's not available there either. Same story with the Dutch App Store. It's not live anywhere.

Is there a reason we're all expecting it right now or?

I was just reading some other posts, wasn't expecting a release, now I've got caught up in the excitement :D

Uncoordinated

Same goes for the Belgian store. Kind of a bummer, really. The Apple website already has an 'upgrade now' button which is broken since it isn't available on the App store yet. Weirdly uncoordinated coming from Apple.

The keynote just finished and they stated that it would be released "Today".

In the past, it's usually on the app store directly after the keynote ends, but this year is different apparently, which is why everyone is anticipating it any minute now.

From what I remember it has happened that downloads didn't go live until 1-2 AM CET. Really hoping that won't be the case now.

Ah thank you, I have been very much in a bubble these last few hours!

Once its available in the U.S. you would normally have to wait for the data to be transferred over to the UK caching servers which might take a bit longer than the U.S. relase.

Yeah, might as well go have dinner and go to bed. I don't think this is going to work. What is bewildering is that they already have an "Upgrade now" button on their website.
