Hi I'm new to this forum and am looking to buy a Mac pro to run logic pro and cs6. Could anyone advise me on what to look for and what to avoid. How much should I be looking to pay? Don't want to spend a fortune. Thanks in advance for the help

First and foremost, you should buy a new machine. You will get much more runway.

But if you insist, you should evaluate your skills on enhancing an old, no-longer-supported system. For a 4,1 cMP, this can involve updating the firmware; updating the bootrom; swapping cpu's, and so on. If you're so inclined, it can be very satisfying. This forum has hundreds of posts of knowledge and expertise to help you.
The end result can be a system that will run pretty well.

I bought my cMP in 2009. Today it runs Mojave. It's primary purpose is FCPX for 4K editing, supported by CS6.

A note on CS6. I often clean install these apps when I swap disks, from original DVD. The Adobe Updater is somewhat inconsistent, and in my experience does not update to anything close to the last available rev. You need to got to the Adobe ftp site and do some spelunking, and even then ...

I really like my 5,1 Mac Pro, which i’ve had for about six years but if I was in the market for a Mac for Logic Pro X (no experience with CS6) I would get the i7 Mac Mini. When and if the next generation Mac Mini is released I’ll probably be saying goodbye to my Mac Pro and buying the fastest Mac Mini and a USB-C or Thunder Bolt enclosure for my drives or maybe the going for the next generation iMac depending what it is.

The 2013 Mac Pro is still supported by Apple but it’s also a dead end machine with old ports and GPUs that can’t be upgraded.
