Hey There Guys!!

I have a iBook G4 1.42GHz with 1.5GB RAM and 60GB HD and it is time for an upgrade. I do a lot of video editing and have a lot of music and play games. I also do a lot of picture editing and of course lots of Safari. My brother has the 2.0GHz MacBook and I think it is an OK computer but that MacBook Pro is pretty sick!

So my question for you is what would you recommend me. I will take either a MacBook or MacBook Pro. Also list the specs (upgrades) that you would choose. I am looking into getting the 15" MBP when the next update comes out. What upgrades should I get or would you recommend a MB.

I agree the entry level Macbook Pro should more than fit your needs. You may as well purchase one now since it was updated in June and who knows when it'll be updated again.

Yeah, but I can survive with my iBook for a couple more months until Leopard comes out. Thanks for the advice guys!

I sent my iBook back on Tuesday and got it today and I am very angry. My iBook has black scuff marks all over it and the side panel that has the firewire and usb ports is basically falling off. I am calling Apple right now and I am going to see what they can do.

The closest one near me is about 2 hours away and not really worth the drive. I called Apple and they filed a claim and I spoke to some branch and talked to a nice guy named Kal. I have also found right under where it says iBook G4 the screen is COMING OFF!! Kal said that I would get a box tomorrow and that they would be sending it to Apple in CA. He said they would either totally fix it or upgrade me, but he did not say what to. I am thinking of emailing steve jobs. What is his email again?
