Hey everyone... I don't want this to seem like I'm bragging about all the Macs I have, but I just want to see if anyone has a good idea for a good use for a Mac Mini. I had this Mac Mini from August until October when I bought a PowerMac G5. I gave the mini to my mom and she had been using it. Then, in January I needed a laptop for school so I bought the recent iBook.. In the mean time my mom used her mac mini less and less because she had a brand new PC in her home office for a work, and it was easier for it to just use that for her web browsing, etc. I also have a home-made Windows PC that has a tv tuner in it, along with my DVD collection that I have as an entertainment center and file server. Today, my mom gave me the mac mini back thinking that I could find a use for it instead of it just sitting there doing nothing. Aside from selling it or giving it away, is there anything I can find a use with this for? I'm going to buy a 19" widescreen LCD for my entertainment PC soon, so the small 15" that is on it could be used for the mini.

Perhaps you should stop buying so many computers.

I fully second that notion :D

Why not just sell it while you still can? Then if you really like the Mini you can just upgrade to the newer Core Duo versions.

Web server?

I'd sell it, but in the meantime make it fold! :D

I have the home-made PC already that functions as an entertainment center and fileserver so that could be a webserver just as easily.

I was thinking of putting it into my car with a 5" LCD and dash mount that way I could have iTunes in my car. Right now I use my iPod, but if I can come across a 5" LCD cheap enough I might just do it this way.

It is not that powerful for folding too :/

Even if it only gets through a few work units, it better than nothing. :)

I would still sell it because it seems surplus to requirements. Putting it in your car might be a good little project if you think it would be worthwhile, but its going to cost more money on top just to get that set up. If you sold it while you can, at least you'd have some cash in your pocket.
