Hi all,

I have 4 (almost unused) HDs sitting on top of my shelf :

3 3.5" (40Gb, 150Gb, 200Gb)
1 2.5" (60Gb)

Two of 3.5" HDs are being used with an external enclosure (USB).
My current idea is to build some sort of NFS setup which would aggregate all
3.5" drives, my iMac and my laptop (I am considering getting a
cheapo linux box to work as a server plus a wired switch)

What setup do you recommend ?

Thanks,

S.

Obs. I am looking for some scalable solution (ie, I would add future Hds later on).

The Linux box is a good idea for setting up small cheap server.

Pick up and old processor / motherboard from Ebay and a small case from newegg.

You may even get a Mini ATX board since you really don't need any processing power.
