I love Tweetie 2 on the iPhone but I'm not loving it scaled up on the iPad. I don't care much for Twitterific so I guess Tweetdeck is my fallback app for now. What do you use for twitter on the iPad?

Twittelator.

Tried Tweetdeck as I use that on my desktop. But it's too crippled to work, especially in landscape mode.

Using tweet deck for now. Wondering when one of these apps is going to support read syncing over multiple devices. I have an iPhone, an iPad, a Mac, and a work pc. It sure would be nice for someone to support read syncing across them all. Which ever one does this first will be my app of choice.

Tweetdeck is horrible on the iPad. URLs don't even work, and the UI is pretty bad.
Still looking for something good, using Twitter.com in Safari for now.

On the iPhone I use Echofon, hopefully they have an iPad version coming.

Tried tweetdeck but didn't like it so then I tried twitterific trying not to spend money on apps...

I had Been using twittelator on the iPhone so I bought the iPad version and it is great. Custom wallpaper as well as tons of options. Works best in portrait mode though.

Echofon Pro does this - it's just not made for iPad yet.

Yeah I have used it but the speed of firefox is the downside to me. I much prefer chrome or safari. I guess I need to try to go back to firefox and realize for now I can't have my cake and eat it too.

I use TweetDeck on the iPad and Echofon on iPhone and my Mac.

Used Twitteriffic for a long time, bought the premium Mac and iPhone versions, but they don't tend to fix things real quickly or care about some bugs unless many people complain. One in particular is that favorites do not properly sync between the site and the apps. Hasn't worked in many months. So they lost me as a fan.

URL works on portrait mode.... sad but future update has been planned to improve this. I am mostly twitter reader and having a lot of columns all at once really helpful

Thanks for the tip, I was locked in landscape mode so I would never have known this.

In some ways having a feature implemented inconsistently like that is worse than not having it at all, from a user interface perspective, but at least it's a workaround for people who want to use it.

Im actually a huge fan of twittelator. It's a nice interface, and im not a super hardcore user.

Twitter.com works for me

Qft. The current apps either have no demo or seriously lack features. Even listed as free. I've been burned before on purchases on the iPhone so no way am I buying a Twitter app with no demo. I'd name names but it would be impolite, but one developer doesn't live up to their words, later.

Yeah, I understand your frustration. They do promise a better UI in the next version :D
