What type of battery life do you get on your devices?

What is the usefulness of knowing the lifespan of random batteries on random devices? My smoke detector battery lasts about 10 years.

Just curious about other portable electronics and what they yield in battery life.
My nook gets a month and a half of battery life (I'm a daily reader)
My galaxy s III gets a day my iPod touch gets me 2-3 days depending on usage.
Macbook pro about 5 or 6 hours

Nope. I have a Nokia Lumia 620. Neat little budget smartphone. Unfortunately I live in the middle of nowhere so signal isn't the best. But I can easily average 3 days for battery life on it.
