I just bought a MacBook Air 2010, but I'm asking this for some future information.
When I'm in college, should I use a macbook air or macbook pro? I would do music and movie playing, Microsoft word, powerpoint etc.

Hello,
If you are just listening to music, surfing the web and doing word processing/powerpoint etc. Then you should be fine with the air.

I would keep the Air. My 15" MBP + textbooks in my backpack feels a bit heavy to me. I would consider buying an external LCD for the Air. Would be nice for when you are back at your place. You can get a nice LCD for under $150.

I would go with the Air if I were you. I use mine for similar purposes - in addition to development work.

I think you made the right choice going with the Air. Do you feel there is something you need to do that the Air can't?

It can't connect to some devices, and it's too slow for a professional photoshopper, and it's not a great games machine ...
