It came from my dead 2014 MBP.
What form factor or whatever is this? The connector on it does not look like all my other M.2 drives. What kind of USB enclosure do I need to connect this to my new Mac?

yeah I can read the sticker.

Anyway, I think I found an enclosure compatible with the Apple proprietary connector.

For the same price , I can just get a new 500GB SSD. Was hoping to re-purpose it, but I guess it's just trash.

Unless you really NEED data that's on that drive, it's probably not worth the $$$ to get the OWC enclosure. Cheaper to buy a new external SSD...

Apple 12+16 connector.

Ready-made, if your data is worth USD70 ;)

Get a 12+16 -> m.2 adapter, attach it to a cheap m.2 - > USB and save a cupola-handful of bucks.

if it's USD70 then I wouldn't be saving anything. You can get a brand new SSD with quadruple the capacity for that kind of money, so totally pointless.
