Per Apple's explanation, the Mac Mini server can only support 1 Thunderbolt display. That bags the question if the Mac Mini server version has the light ridge or eagle ridge thunderbolt connector. I just can't confirm it anywhere.

I wonder if all macs with integrated GPU comes with eagle ridge?

I don't think the limitation comes from the thunderbolt hardware but more the graphics hardware.

I am pretty sure all versions of the mini have the same thunderbolt hardware and the upgraded AMD graphics on the mid level model allow you to run 2 thunderbolt displays.

Yep gfx is the key

Yes i know.

FYI, the Mac mini server comes with intel integrated GPU. My question is if it comes with eagle ridge?

Eagle ridge is only half as fast as in light ridge. Being the most expensive amongst the 2011 minis, I expect the server version to come with at least what the other minis are getting. So yes it matters to me for my own personal understanding more than anything.

A lot of us don't use the server as a server. To the op go to i fixit look for a teardown the t-bolt chip may be visible

ifixit did not have a teatdown of the mac mini server. Refer here. So no way to confirm. I googled to no avail.

Yes I have already read this article. However this article predates the Apple article (September 29, 2011) which definitively explains only the mini server version support 1 thunderbolt display.

I'm not sure if AnandTech knew at the time of writing that the mini server's integrated GPU may mean it has eagle ridge or not, nor do I know if it had taken apart a mini server as a basis for its report.

I would just want some definitive confirmation somewhere. A teardown of the server version would do just that.

I don't understand what you're asking. Only the Air uses Eagle Ridge. It made the news.

If the mini had Eagle Ridge (or even just the server) it would have been news. There is nothing at all that suggests the mini server uses anything but Light Ridge.
