as above really guys :)

am i right in thinking either o2 or vodafone you can set up through the ipad????? but the others you cannot?

also can i go to a voda/o2 store and get a microsim for the ipad?

im hoping to pick up the 3g one tomorrow you see!

thanks for any help

O2 & Vodafone: You can activate it right on the iPad.
Orange & 3 : You have to call them/activate it online.

I picked myself up an O2 microsim instore the other day, they don't ask for anything, just "do you want a PAYGO or Contract?" and then they just pre-register it to your name/address. Took me literally 120 seconds, in, ask, get, out. I love O2, but considering going with Three just for the better total coverage, I don't need to care about much like I would with my iPhone.

Three have a good deal on PAYGO, you pay £20 once, and you get 3GB of data which expires after 3 months (or when you use it up). In my eyes: bargain. I might go on that, but I'm gonna try the O2 one first, as I want to use that in-iPad activation system.

Thanks mate!

I think I'll try vodafone first my iPhones with o2 and I'm not overly impressed with their data speeds!

Does anyone know if I can get a sim from a vodafone store?

Thanks :)

Just to add voadfone do not allow setup through ipad as I'm on vodafone currently and there's no option to do anything other than turn cellular data on or off!

Shame really i may go to o2 instead as i Like the idea of a simple set up
