Hi, all.
As titled.
I got iMac late 2012 and handoff is working but apple watch unlock doesn't work as auto unlock menu is not there in system profile.

I have MacPro and installed 94330BC wifi and got CAT enabled and handoff and auto unlock shows up so I wonder if same kind is good enough? or do I need something specific?

Thanks in advance.

Hi! To enable this functionality, you must switch airport card with one thats was installed in 2013 model. I used this.

I think something went wrong with your link there. The domain contains special characters.
This were direct link to shop. Model name: Broadcom BCM94360CD. I bought mine from ali, cause on ebay or amazon selling same but more expensive.

Awesome, thanks dude!

I'm thinking of getting one myself, but I might wait till it's been tested on Big Sur before I buy one. I don't suppose you're on the Big Sur beta?

Tested on high sierra, mojave and catalina. But clean install is needed first time after airport card switch. And all bluetooth accessories need repairing.

Old thread bump; anyone know a way around a clean install? Trying to add this watch unlocking on one of my work iMacs but don't really want to go through reinstalling anything (it's not used a whole lot in the first place).

I haven’t done it in a while but last I knew, reinstall was required if you change the Wi-Fi card.

But the real reason for this reply - I have some work Macs too, and they DON’T unlock with my watch because it’s on a different Apple ID. All my personal Macs do, of course. If you’re using a separate ID on your watch vs. your work Macs, then I can save you the trouble…
