Any guesses?

I think that just the video service, since the entire convention seems based on it, would be a downer. Everyone knows new Ipods are coming....

Macbooks with Core 2 Duo wouldn't be too exciting to most....

Anything else that could possibly be there?

Perhaps Leopard being released early?

Airport Express AV or Mac mini media edition.

Definitely not Leopard.

I wouldn't want it to be Leopard anyways. The WWDC preview wasn't too great, even with a few nice things (more like small upgrades than a whole new OS X version), and I'd rather them shove it back into development until their targeted release in Spring 2007.

The announcement that Windows Vista will be delayed until the end of 2008?

No, a Merom MBP would do just fine!!! :D

I'm looking foward to an updated MacBook and a release of Leopard. Otherwise, I'm not gonna bother watching that 'one more thing' until next year.

A real media center Mac with a real remote.
But with the built-in Wozniak remote amplifier -- you'd probably be changing channels in the entire neighborhood.

There will NOT be a "One More Thing". This is a specific announcement, not a keynote and will be about new iPods (makes sense, nothing like tons of free press) and downloadable movies. There may be some new product related to movies but you won't see updated MBPs, no phone or anything Leopard related.

Personally i dont see how it can be new iPods 'cos the back to school iPod promotion in the UK doesn't end till october so they wouldn't announce new ones in the middle of said promotion! so its either the movie store or merom lappys

Did you actually watch the Keynote. They only told about some minor features, so Microsoft wouldn't copy the revolutionary parts in Vista. Steve said: "In Leopard, we are going to have some revolutionary features, currently Top Secret. Unfortunately we can't show them to you today, but we just want you to know they're there."

Time Machine, Spaces etc. is nothing compared to what Stevie got up his sleeve.:D

I seriously doubt M.S. could possibly copy anything significant into Vista at this late date. They've been working for years on that o.s..

I think the next new "sizzle" item will be something that will make it easier to sell you more stuff you don't need: i.e. media content that we used to get for the cost of putting up with commercials. There are huge profits there for Apple. So, there will probably be some kind of home media center with a way to easily rack up huge bills.

Sorry, the "Top Secret" features not being released so Microsoft can't copy them is utter crap. Firstly, it's way too late in the game for Microsoft to add features to Vista. Secondly, as the largest Mac developer, they have access to Leopard information that other developers get.

Let's be real, they didn't mention or show these features because they aint ready yet.

With the high VAT there probably are a grand total of 3 students who can afford the new iPod, so Apple can happily give it to them as charity :D

They can always not include the new iPods in the promotion. ;)

Apple specifically mentions which Mac models and which iPod models qualify. There would be no problem were new models to be introduced.

Ah thanks. i just noticed though at the top it mentions the new iMac being ilegible for the offer so does anyone reckon that it'll be the same if they update the MBP inside the time the offer is still running?? cos that'll be a big bummer i dont want to buy a yonah MBP just so i can get the iPod and i dont want to have to cough out the full price for the iPod if i were to get it with my Merom MBP :(

Bring on the MBP AND MB

yup ... pretty sure .... new portables are comin out .. on the 12th ..

Go aPPle:D ;) :)  :p :D ;) :p

My vote goes to Merom MBPs, if Apple releases them soon, I will once again love Apple....right now we're in a fight ;)

I think there was a "one more thing" at last October's event, and that was announcing the TV shows for sale

so there very well could be one at this event on tuesday as well.
