Yes. I also hear that it’s TC’s way of ending you should you leave a prototype phone in a bar.

I don't believe the security updates will come faster. The security updates will come separate from the typical bug fix update releases thus allowing the end user the ability to focus on the security of the device and install the typical OS update later. (if he or she wishes to).
