OK so its a tad early still but based on what you are all seeing info wise what do you expect to leave the Apple/AT&T store with in hand?

One "rule" in replying...your post will not inform others if they are wrong or not. This is simply an assessment of what each individual believes they will get based on what they've read.

In my case I expect to have an iPhone, maybe a case, and the exact same $40 voice plan I currently have which may or may not have a 2 year extension on it. I already have a bluetooth headset and I have no need for the data plan.

8GB iPhone, Apple BT headset, maybe case.

I'm betting activation and plans will be taken care of on-line or via phone. It'll be a new 2 year contract, superseding the current one (per my own contact with AT&T on the 13th). I suspect it'll start with my current "family" plan, and add data part.

Glad you're asking people just to post the info they've received, and not argue about other's sources. Some of this obviously had been posted in other threads, but maybe this will be a bit cleaner to peruse.

If everything goes according to my plan, I will have an 8gb phone and a new 2-year contract.

Obviously I'm going to walk out with an iPhone 4gig or 8gig I'm not sure yet. I am planning on getting a case, voice plan, data plan, and maybe MAYBE the bluetooth headset depending on the price. Hopefully there will be no stupid activation fees so I can get more things :D.

8G iPhone
Bluetooth head set
A case, depending on how I free able them, They always look nice online, but then you see on in real life and they are rather junky lo0king.

If voice plus data plans are required, and cost over $50 per month total, I'll walk away with a new MacBook instead.

I'll walk away with:

  • An 8GB iPhone
  • A 2-year contract (if applicable)
  • A data plan, provided they aren't too expensive

4GB iPhone, AppleCare (if offered), and Aliph Jawbone headset. (Waaay better than Apple's headset, even if it's stellar for a plain BT headset. The Jawbone works.)

I'll walk away with:

  • An 8GB iPhone
  • A 2-year contract (if applicable)
  • A data plan, provided they aren't too expensive

Same here. I'll think of buying a headset or case after using it for a week or two. Hopefully I'll be able to get the 8gb and it won't be sold out. Also hoping the data plan isn't crazy expensive. I think I can deal with the new earphones as a headset for a while and see how I like them. They looked cool in the tour!

I plan on leaving with:

One 8 GB iPhone
One 4 GB iPhone
Family Plan (1400 min $89+ tax and fees = about $115)
Date plan for both (hoping for $20 a month each or $40 total)

Maybe a case or two (iLounge.com has a ton of them reviewed already some nice ones for $20 each)

8GB iPhone, keeping my current 1500 minute plan with data.
Dock (does this come with iPhone? If not, I will pick one up)

Keeping low on accessories until I use it for a bit to see what I think I'll need.

I'll walk away with:

  • An 8GB iPhone
  • A 2-year contract (if applicable)
  • A data plan, provided they aren't too expensive

Same here. I haven't decided on a case yet. Maybe an Invisible Shield if it gets amazing reviews.

  • 8GB iPhone
  • Data Plan added to my current Voice Plan
  • A temporary case (I'm thinking Belkin)
  • An empty wallet

The only thing I want to buy right now is an iPhone. The accessories and stuff I will wait on. A lot of manufacturers don't even have iPhones, so some of the initial accessories are likely to be sub-par.

I can get the phone, then take my time and find out what is out there and worthwhile.
