Linksys WRT54G

We are using the Linksys WRT54G, except that the latest rev is not very reliable. We will probably be switching to AE soon.

Anyone else having problems with the latest rev of the WRT54G? The early versions were great, but the latest ones not so much.

I've got a Linksys WRT54GS that I got in mid-2004. It works great, and I would recommend Linksys.

That said, I have heard negative things about the newer WRT54G's, which are very similar to the WRT54GS. So maybe Linksys has gone downhill since I got my router.

This router works very well with a G PC laptop, a B desktop and a B laptop, a wired desktop, and my N Macbook.

I also have a Motorola Surfboard cable modem that I've had since 1999. It works great.

Airport Extreme "N." It is very nice, has a good software interface, and a pleasant green light that tells you all is ok.:D

I've used a Netgear in the past and that was very stable and easy to use.
I now use 2 Airport Extremes with WDS enabled. Sooooo nice!!!

DLink because it was one of the least expensive I could find locally as I wanted it right now to replace a dead SMC router. I didn't want to wait for a new router to be shipped. The DLink worked fine right out of the box. Yes, I did enable the security features.

At home, I am mostly using copper and a couple access points; Netgear and Linksys. At work, our jobsites are mostly wireless. There we run Netgear and Linksys as well, but primarily the Netgear FWG114P.

I've got a Linksys WRT54G wireless for my PowerBook plus 3 ports wired downstairs, one leading upstairs to a D-Link 16 port switch.

Linksys WAP54G's at the office, awesome.

Linksys WAG54GX2 and WRT54G at home.

I'm a bit of a Linksys nut. I wouldn't say they're massively better than anything else, but once they're set up and stable they do tend to stay set up and stable :p

I'm using a Linksys WRT54GL with DD-WRT firmware installed. It's like having a full-featured Cisco router for a fraction of the price. It's the most reliable router I have ever owned, better than my old SMC.

Switched to a Netgear WPN824 after having trouble with a Linksys WRT54G.

Here it is, kinda looks like a UFO. (Oh and it has worked flawlessly)

Netgear WPN824 (version 2)

Had a Linksys WRT54G for a few days but the new versions are horrible with macs.

DLink G604T

No N, not ADSL2 but then its not like thats needed in NZ with out crappy internet connections anyway.
