Let me start off by saying That I do not work for apple. I wait tables.

I think I would be done with jailbreaking if I could hide icons easily, like stocks!! I can even do without a video recorder for the time being, although I think apple should include this in an UPDATE. (2.1.1 maybe) I have over heard several people in passing say they would not get an iPhone b/c it does not record video. Why are they so against even a little customization? Like having a background for your spring board. The way I look at it, I guess, is the iPhoneDevTeam is steve and woz circa '80 and and :apple: is IBM. I always root for the underdog. Thanks for what you do guys.

p.s. if anyone knows a way to get rid of the stock icon without jailbreaking, of course, let me know. I'm gonna see how long I can go without "poof" and "winterboard"

I have access to iTunes 8 and iTunes 7.7.1 and I'm on a 3g phone with 2.1 running it all on macs

For me, just one thing: WinterBoard.

But since Apple's iPhone philosophy is 'the iWay or the highway,' that'll never happen. Therefore, I will continue to jailbreak.

personally i jailbroke to use intelliscreen to alert me to missed txt and calls. i spend most of my work day in a loud environment and may go 5+ hours without checking the phone. if i dont feel the weak vibrate or hear the not very loud tone it could be quite awhile before i notice. if however it's vibrating / making a sound every few minutes i'm bound to notice sooner than later. and intelliscreen works great for this. i have not gone more than 15 minutes since installing it.

i might upgrade to try the new 2 time reminder. but i still dont like it. the phone overall needs more options.

that combined with my unhappy at&t service means i will switch back to verizon and cancel my contract as soon as they have a capable android phone.

Intelliscreen. Intelliscreen. Intelliscreen.

I seriously don't understand why Apple won't approve this program, or at least have something like it. If you use this phone primarily for business purposes, it's very inconvenient without Intelliscreen.

So many options on this phone are great for business (multiple calendars, for example) but the lack of a Today screen is seriously hobbling, in my view. Seriously hobbling.
