I've been browsing around the Apple Store all morning. I can't really come up with anything I MUST have. I already have all kinds of Macs and iPods. I'm looking at getting some kind of bag for the Mac Book, but I don't really like the selection they have on the Apple Store. I like the Luncheon Bag from Crumpler, but it seems pretty minimal for $100. Anyone have any first hand experience with the bags they sell on the Apple Store site? It's hard to find any interior photos of any of the bags they have up...

I'd consider getting something else instead of a bag, but that is mostly because I'm happy with my sleeve and a backpack...anyhow, that doesn't help.

Go to the company sites for the bags that you are looking at - http:www.crumplerbags.com for the Crumpler - you should find more pics, incluinding interior shots, there.

You mentioned iPods (plural)... do you have a speaker system for your iPod(s)? This could be an idea for your gift card (although you'd have to add some extra cash for the better ones such as the Altec Lansing iM7 or the Bose SoundDock), then you can leave one iPod at home and carry one around with you.

If you are interested in getting something like this, I just bought the iM7 and love it. I put up a review and pics here.

I already have an iPod dock for my car and home stereo, both of which I'm sure are much better than the various sound docks. I think I'll just get Applecare for the Mac Book. I completely forgot about that.

You can wait on buying that until closer to your 1 year warranty is over.

Since there is nothing you really want, hold onto it a while. Then when you think of something computer related you need, you won't have to spend money. If after several months you never used it, go ahead and get the applecare ordered.
