Yes clean installHi, I got my new rMBP yesterday and it came with mavericks. I did the latest update for that and then upgraded to Yosemite. Would you do a clean install on a brand new mac?
Not sure whether to do it or not.
Thanks!

Absolutely no need to clean install on a brand new Mac.
It is the one occasion, where I would say upgrade, basically because apart from the OS, it is completely clean. No Apps installed, just the basic user profile..
The reason to clean install is normally to clean out the crap, bad apps, corrupted user profile, etc that will interfere with a successful upgrade. A brand new Mac has none of that.
I'm guessing do it through Recovery Mode > Disc Utilities and then erase the hard drive? Then go to Reinstall OS X?
Not sure what to do really.
