I see people complaining about the Notch on the iPhone X but would you have really preferred a whole top bezel like the Galaxy S8? Or are you saying you want no front facing cameras at all? (Say bye to all your selfies)

I would rather have the smaller notch than a top bezel. So I love the iPhone X screen to body ratio it definitely beats out the S8 top and bottom bezel to me.

And when they someday implement front facing cameras under the screen as well as touch ID under the screen i cant see how it could get any better.

Anyway its up to the Votes! Whats your flavour?

I would have preferred it be hidden via software.

If this were the case, full screen videos would still be cropped as the X isn't 16:9, so there'd still be a need to have black bars on top/bottom.

Although other Apps may look better if it were hidden. For me, it's not a huge deal. Just an evolutionary progression toward a full edge to edge display (with cameras/sensors hidden beneath the screen).

Totally agree.

I don't understand why people are so confused about this. By default 16:9 videos will have black bars on the sides, NO black bars on top or bottom. If the video has black bars on top and bottom, then the video is WIDER than 16:9, which would mean even the 8 and 8+ will have top and bottom bars.

I like top bezel, The appearance looks neat, it is one straight line and concealed as there isn't anything on the top. The clock, date, signal bars are in line neatly, the notch looks like unfinished design, it does not save screen space at all. When the phone is not in use, or in stand by mode the notch is visible while the top bezel blends in with the entire screen that makes it look neater.

If you go with top bezel, you also need a bottom bezel the same size or the symmetry is lost.

I would have been fine with Face ID and the OLED display being put in the exact same body as the iPhone 8 and 8+.

In fact that is exactly what hope happens with the iPhone 8S.

I hope there is a home button option for you, cause im a fan of consumer choice. I will always prefer the iPhone X design over the old style but its nice to have options for people who want the home button design.
