Hello, if some of you do not know, well now you do the apple tv update take 2 is available for update just go to your apple tv and hit software update!

after you use it post here what you would like to see and what you dont like with the update.

Just off hand after using it for 2 min I would like to see 3rd party software like airfoil able to stream or connect to the apple tv like it currently does with airport express for audio and then be able to stream music from quicktime, music from windows media, video's from any of those 2 and etc. such as Djay programs.
The function of airtunes is available on the update but users are restricted to using itunes for the handling of the music from the computer.

wish list for Apple TV

Another vote for streaming video. Trying to find a really nice place for a TV can be trying, though. Imagine a neat little stand with a shelf that holds the Apple TV a few inches above the floor. The stand goes up a few feet to an attachment that can hold a 19" or 23" flat screen. Front channel speakers could be on stalks a few inches to either side of the TV.

Make it so the wiring doesn't show. You roll this stand, with TV and Apple TV, anywhere you'd like to watch. All you need is an electric outlet, since everything else is wireless.

Now let this work for two, three, or more video stands, if you wish. All synched, of course, via ATV (one ATV for each stand, just like one TV for each stand). "Rear channel" speakers, placed strategically in any room, could make for interesting effects. Of course, the audio wouldn't be true "surround," but you could easily tell background sounds from front-stage sounds.

Be fun to experiment with, anyway...

Btw, can an ATV play into a DVR without going analog?
