Any freeware? Or lower cost shareware? I know I can burn isos with Nero (which I have) but what can I use to make the dvd menus and such?

I have some various avis and mp4 movie files I want to burn on a dvd so that a older friend of mine w/o a computer can watch them on his dvd player. :D

Nero does all that too, unless you have a stripped down version that ships with some burners/systems.

I tried a whole bunch. Unless you go with the uber expensive professional ones, they all stink.

They tend to use sort of an "mpeg-2" encoder and DVD format program that turns out not to be entirely compatible with other computers or DVD players.

iDVD's always worked for me...

Good luck to you..

Oh snap. That's what I have. Dang.

I guess I'll have to just use iDvd and make an iso and burn that.
