I'm looking for a good multifunction printer/scanner, it doesn't matter if it doesn't fax, just has to be able to print and scan.

Of course this is for OSX.

I've looked at the HP PSC 1205 and the HP PSC2175 but would like to know if any of you lot swear by one yourselves.

Thanks.

Get the hp 1210. its a cheap all in one (round 100 dollars) you can get from target (thats where i got mine) it has a good printer (not the best but thats xpected) a good scanner and its a copier too. Its much smaller than the compertition and faster.

I'm really happy with my Epson CX5200 even though it's been replaced with the CX5400.

I fought having an all-in-one, but they just released a new version of the scanner driver which has de-screening filters and it's better than my old SCSI Umax scanner. Printing is great with a small droplet for precise coverage.

I sell the things for a living, and I wouldn't go within twenty feet of anything but an HP. I absolutely love my PSC 2210, and I highly recommend you check one out. They're on sale right now as closeout items, as HP is introducing it's new line as we speak. You should be able to get a good deal on one. Best of luck! :)

I bought an HP Officejet 6110 and it's great. The HP driver has solved all my previous printing woes. I use it with OS X and it just works!

I have an HP 2210 that I've been using for a while. The printing and scanning is good. It also features a built in media card reader for digital pictures. You can print right from the card and not have to turn on the computer.

While it does have fax capibility, I don't recommend if you do a lot of faxing. It can only scan one page at time which can be annoying.

I also heard that HP's ink cartridges have built in print heads. This means you get fresh prints heads whenever you change a cartridge.

You can't go wrong with an HP

Epson is the best. HP has bad printing, but good scanning...but Epson has great printing, great scanning. i LOVE epson

about HP

I've been looking for a multifunction printer for my home office and had decided on the HP officejet 6110, but found this tidbit on hp.shopping.com:
"• scans fine detail with up to 1200 x 2400 dpi optical resolution and 48-bit color (with Windows only) "

So what does it do with Mac? Does it just not scan? Does it scan lower?
