Hello,

I want to sell my 1 year-old iMac to buy a MBP, what would be a reasonable price to sell it? Here are the specs:
17" iMac
Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz
1Gb RAM
ATI Radeon X1600 128Mb GDDR3 SDRAM
160Gb HDD
SuperDrive DVD-R DL/DVD+/-RW CD-RW

The original price was 1249 without taxes. All opinions are welcome. Thanks!

I sold my iMac with the same specs for $800 but I probably could have gotten more for it had i put it up for auction on eBay or something

i'm very experienced with selling computers on ebay and my advise would be to simply look up similar imacs on there and determine its worth then try to make it worth more by adding extras like programs and stuff pre loaded...

Warranty? condition? Box? Leopard? With everything I listed probably 725-750 if you're lucky.. refurbished go for around $799 last I saw..

I only had the default limited warranty that just expired. I have the original box. No Leopard. Condition is very good, almost like new, the case is clean white, no scratches, etc. Thanks again!

700-750 seems decent because they have since discontinued the 17" and you can now get a 20" with better specs for less than 1250

EDIT: oh and leopard makes a difference too

OK, thanks for the help everyone, I will try to sell it for $750 and will let you know how it goes.
