Hi,

What's a good wysiwig html editor for the mac? I can't seem to find any.
I'm coming from Frontpage on WinXP.

TIA!

Golive has not been and currently will not be discontinued.

The reports of it's demise were based on fourth hand info originally by someone who didn't actually understand French... and the original statement was only about Freehand to top it off (which is also not being discontinued). Between the language barrier and people expecting to hear that Freehand and GoLive will be discontinued, people started reporting false information.

Reminds me of the days when people were trying to be the first to pronounce Apple dead.

Thanks for the replies. I tried rapid weaver & freeway but they can't seem to work on my existing html files.
Or I must be missing something...???

Thanks again

Dreamweaver, GoLive and HyperEdit would all be good choices for editing existing code... but remember you said:
"I'm coming from Frontpage on WinXP."
Frontpage makes the single worst code on the net... by that I mean monkeys randomly pounding on a keyboard would come in a close second to what Frontpage puts out by design. ;)

Odds are you'd be doing both yourself and those viewing your sites a favor by starting over with just about any other web design app. You could try cleaning up the original Frontpage code, but that assumes that you don't mind spending time actually working with the raw code. Plus both Dreamweaver and GoLive come with site management tools that would work better if you started from scratch (page code wise, not images and the like) in them.

And I won't worry too much about picking between Dreamweaver and GoLive at this point... though what I've heard is that Adobe is considering (further down the line) making GoLive something like Photoshop Elements for web design (aimed at about the same market as Frontpage is aimed at now). But both should be around for a long time, so I would suggest downloading the 30 day demos of both, try them out, and then pick which one works for you.
