Hey!

I have been searching for a new graphics card for my Mac Pro Dual Core 3.0. It currently has a X1900 which is ok but not to good for gaming.

Is the GeForce 8800GT currently a really good card? And if so anyone found some good pricing out there?

I would like to keep the card cost around $200 or so - so if there are any better cards out there around that price range lemme know.

Thanks!

Any card works in Windows, seven cards work in OS X. Get the 8800 GT if you'll be gaming in OS X.

Yeah that is what I am reading. Probably the way to go but still trying to find the best place to buy it.

Thanks

you can also get 2 ATI 3870's and do crossfire which would give you increased performance over the 8800 in windows. they are available from ati's website or macsales.com. the 8800 is only available from the apple website, i believe. but i could be wrong.
